When a campaign destination changes, update the saved destination while keeping the public short URL stable. This is especially important when a QR code or printed material already uses that short URL.
How do I change the destination?
- Open Shortened links and select the saved link.
- Replace Destination URL with the full address of the new destination.
- Keep Short URL unchanged if existing links or QR codes should continue using the same address.
- Review any targeting, schedule, expiration URL, splash page, or protection settings that could override normal behavior.
- Save with Update and test the public short URL. If an old permanent redirect was cached, also test in a fresh browser session.
How do I pause a link?
Use the link’s enabled switch when you want to stop its normal operation temporarily. Check what visitors see after disabling it. Re-enable it when the destination should be available again.
Why should I avoid changing the alias?
The alias is the public ending after the domain. Changing it changes the address people already have. Do not assume an old alias redirects automatically. Edit the destination when you want to preserve the printed or shared address.
Why does the old destination still open?
Check that you edited the correct link and saved the form. Then review targeting and temporary-URL rules. A permanent redirect can also be cached by a browser. See redirect settings and link troubleshooting.
