Use contact, WiFi, event, and other QR templates

Choose a QR template for the action a phone should offer after scanning. The scanning app or device decides how it handles the encoded information.

Which template matches my information?

  • Text: display text directly. URL: open a web address or a linked URLin.bio resource.
  • Phone, SMS, Email, WhatsApp, and Facetime: prepare the corresponding call or message action. Review the recipient and use the format requested by the form.
  • Location: encode the location information requested by the builder.
  • WiFi: supply the network name, security type, and password where requested. Test with a device that is not already connected.
  • Event: supply calendar information and check dates and timezone after importing.
  • Vcard: encode contact information and inspect the saved contact on a phone.
  • Crypto, PayPal, UPI Payment, EPC Payment, and PIX Payment: encode the payment-related details requested for that template. Verify the recipient, amount, and other encoded details before sharing. Creating the image does not itself complete a payment.

What changes when I edit a template later?

For data encoded directly in the QR image, previously distributed copies still contain the original information. If you expect contact or event details to change, consider a URL QR code that opens an editable vCard link or event link.

Can I create template codes in bulk?

Use Bulk generation only when the selected template and your plan offer it. Follow the builder’s input format and line limit, then inspect the results individually. Do not assume every template accepts the same bulk input structure.
